After joining the Navy and hearing the news that women could serve aboard submarines, she decided it was her time to explore that world, too. She was selected to serve as a Submarine Culinary Specialist and did so with a dedication that quickly earned her the respect of her peers. Then in 2016, that work paid off. Dominique was the first woman to earn her silver dolphins, becoming a fully-trained submariner and paving the way for more women to follow in her stead.
